Could The Mild Spotting Be Due To Cancer?

Hi. A little concerned that I might have uterine or endometrial cancer. My gynecologist tried to get an endometrial biopsy in the office Friday, but it was too painful and said he would have to schedule a d and c. I thought I was going through early menopause at the age of 43(my sister went through it at 43 and mom at age 45). My periods stopped for three months and then started back with some issues. Have had mild spotting over thelast year or so. My doctor was very concerned saying it was not menopause and that could be cancer. Still have not heard from him on time for the surgery for the biopsy. Any thoughts on what else could cause something like this

Hi, I think you are in perimenopausal phase. If your periods stop for 6 months and then they start again, you should be concerned regarding cancer. But as your periods stopped for 3 months only, it can be perimenopausal symptom. However you can go for a ultrasound to see the endometrial thickness. It will also give you an idea regarding the cancer. Hope I have answered your question.
