I experienced , what my doctor diagnosed as a torn cartilage Dec. 13. I was given a cortisone shot and am taking physical therapy 2 a week. This leg has improved and I experience almost no pain. The other leg, however, has been suffering with leg cramps and muscle tightness for the last 4 weeks. The outside of my leg cramps and experiences great pain while I am using the leg. It happens during the night and is almost unbearable to walk on in the morning--at least for the 1st hour out of the bed. It eases off and if I keep moving during the day, I experience very little cramping and pain. It, however, has become sore to the touch and will begin to cramp around several hours after I go to bed. I'm taking Simvastatin and wonder if this could be a side effect. I've been taking it for approximately 3 years.
