My child hasepilepsy and is currently taking carbamazapine at night. He is still fitting despite meds. Due to go for MRI scan to see if any abnormalities. but he has been complaining with pains in legs, which I have noticed cause him to walk funny at times and also has stomach pains from time to time. Hi, Your child is having fits on tab carbemazepine .
So antiepileptic should be changed or another one should be added to control the seizure.
Pain in the legs are due to seizure episodes causing muscle damage .
Leg pains could be managed with control of seizures.
Stomach pain is due to gasric upset due to seizures .
Thanks .
