Could The Increase In Blood Pressure Be Due To The Side Effect Of Anesthesia?

I am 3 days post op (Da- Vinci hysto, (cervix, uterus, and tubes). I do not have a lot of pain but my blood pressure is elevated. Pre surgery, normal 135/85 (medicated) during my overnight oversation 94/67 and all day today 150/92...is this a side effect from the anesthesia?

Hello,

anesthesia usually causes hypotension. Pain and saline administration may usually cause rises to the blood pressure in post-operative patients. A temporary mild elevation in blood pressure has no implications to your health, unless you have a history of serious heart of vascular disease.

I hope I've helped!
You can contact me again, if you'd like more details.

Kind Regards!
