Could The Fever, Chills And Shivering Are Related To Alcohol Intake?

My husband drank a lot of beer on Friday and a lot of beer on Saturday. He woke up on Sunday and felt terrible. He vomitted once and was lethargic the rest of the day. He started to run a fever last night of 101.7. He had chills and was shivering. Broke the fever in the middle of the night. He woke up covered in sweat. His shirt was soaked with sweat. He is still running a fever today. He still has the chills. His last fever was 103.1 at 9pm. Wanted to know if the drinking alchohol and fever are related. Want to know if there is anything he should do? He did take Ibuprofen at 8pm.
