Could The Extreme Tiredness, Aching Body, Weakness, Shortness Of Breath Is Due The Side Effects Of Irbesartan Medication?
Hi! My husband is on 30 Irbesartan Sandoz 300mg tab for high blood pressure. He is experiencing extreme tiredness, aching body, weakness, shortness of breath and a strange soreness of the scalp area which is causing him extreme discomfort. His GP says he probably has a virus but all the symptoms he has seem to be indicated as possible side effects of this medication. 1 year ago he had major surgery (double ankle fusion and bone graft) resulting from a compound fracture 45 years earlier. He is healing well from surgery but now we notice that ankle area is looking bruised (another listed side effect of this medication). We would respect your advice. Thankyou!

Your husband is using irbasartan for hypertension, and having tired ness, aching body, weakness, shortness of breath, and sore ness of the scalp.
It is important to know if these are present before starting of the drug. If it is confirmed to be due to the drug, switch over to other drug, and observe the changes.
Though it is due to the side effect the symptoms must be treated simultaneously.
Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato,egg, chicken, and sea foods to minimise the symptoms.
