Could The Brain Zaps Be Due To Venlafaxine, Zolpidem And Tramadol?

I have recently discontinued Venlafaxine, Zolpidem and Tramadol and I am experiencing brain zaps frequently during the day. I am assuming the going off these medications is the cause and would prefer not to go back on any of them. Will they just go away with time?

Hello
Welcome here.
Venlafaxine, zolpidem and tramadol can all cause withdrawal symptoms if taken for a long time and then discontinued suddenly.
Also sudden stopping of the drugs can also cause relapse of illness for which you were taking these medications.
The withdrawal from drugs can cause dizziness, irritability, insomnia, malaise, bodyaches and tremors.
As you have mentioned that you are having these brain zaps, this is most probably due to abrupt stopping of drugs.
I would advice you to consult your treating doctor regarding this.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
