Could Taking Susten 100 Mg Be The Reason For Increased Hcg Hormone Level?
Hi, i am expecting that iam pregnant. My LMP was on 20/12/2011.i conducted hpt on 19/1/2012 and its positive.on 21/1/2012 i was in journey and started slightly light color bleeding,today also its continuing.( previously in May 2011 also i faced same problem,. At that time they gave me susten 100mg medicine to take for 3times a day but it was not helpful. and i aborted the baby) so this time while i was in journey, i didnt have time to consult Dr so i took same susten 100mg twice a day for 2 days while i was bleeding. Now on 23/1/2012 i went to Dr and she said for BHCG blood test for pregnancy confirmation, today i got the result that my bhcg level is 9217.. Will susten tablet raises the hcg harmone level? That is the reason why its 9217 or I am really pregnant.? plzz tell me.

I understood your concern and My opinion is that No sustain tablet will not raise your b-hcg hormones , sustain tablet is having totally different mechanism .it will help in stabilising fetus implantaion so patients who are having chance of abortion it is very beneficial
And yes B-HCG of 9217 means you are 100% pregnant, no doubt in that
you should start T folic acid 5 mg daily and
i would advise you to do one ultrasonography also to see growth of fetus
