Could Taking Lisinopril Cause Swelling Of Tongue?

I am 67 years old. Have been taking Lisinopril for 7 years to keep pressure off of a AAA. Last night my tongue swelled to the point I could barely close my mouth. Emergency room Dr. suspect an allergic reaction from the Lisinopril. Swelling is now ok after treatment. Can I quit taking the Lisinopril until I can get in to see my family Dr. or is it a medication that needs to be weaned off of.
