Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have come to find out I have a bakers cyst behind my left knee. I have been struggling with swelling in my legs from thighs down, after training. It has caused me to take rest weeks only to come back to training and experience the swelling again. I experience great fatigue as well. Can all of this be because of the bakers cyst? How do I manage/treat this?!?! I don't want to lose all of my hard work taking rest weeks and going in circles!!!
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. You are having the bakers cyst, but you also have the swelling of the feet more over recurring. There may be a deep vein thrombosis, secondary to the cyst, and it is dangerous as well. So i advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.you may need to have a color Doppler for for confirmation. If D.V.T. is not there the cyst may be tried to aspirate,to relieve the pressure, and the swellings. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
