Could Swelling In Fingers And Itching Be Allergic Reaction To Contraceptive Pill?
I have a 5 week old baby. Sometimes after I breastfeed, my fingers are very swollen, itch, burn and are red. I stated back on a low dose oral contraceptive about 10 days ago. The swelling has also happened in my feet. Could this be an allergic reaction? Thank you

It does sound like an allergic reaction based on the symptoms that you have mentioned.
Breast feeding itself would not cause this reaction, it would have to be some chemical agent that you are coming into contact with at some point.
