Could Stress Cause Itchy Rashes On Arms, Legs And Abdomen?

Hello, hey I am 45 M, lately I have had this itchy nasty rash on arms and legs, some on belly. I am 6'4" and 225, 5 kids. Am going thru a job change and really stressed. Is it likely that bumps and rash are stress? Dr gave me a steroid and cream. Thanks.

Hello dear,

The rashes as mentioned in your post can be attributed to contact dermatitis or any fungal infection.
Presence of stress can act as an aggravating factor for the symptoms.

Application of ointment like Lobate GM (pharmacologically Clobetasol + Miconazole + Neomycin) will reduce the symptoms.
1. Clobetasol being a steroid will reduce the inflammatory process
2. Miconazole being an anti-fungal agent will take care of any fungus causing the symptoms
3. Neomycin being an anti-bacterial agent will prevent secondary bacterial infections.

You can also take antihistamine preparation like Cetrizine or Allegra for symptomatic relief.
In addition, keep the area dry & avoid too much exposure to water or sweat formation.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
