Could Stopping The Daily Intake Of Althea Contraceptive Pills Causing Acne On The Face?

I used Althea pills for 2 months, then I stopped and changed back to my old contraceptive pill. Now, I m having acne breakouts since i stopped using Althea. I never had this problem before, and my face is really not acne-prone . So i d like to ask if this has something to do with me stopping my daily take of Althea?

Althea will help control acne, in fact it is often prescribed for this purpose. So it is very possible that while you were taking it, your acne was controlled, but once you stopped the pills, the acne came out. I hope this was helpful to you, please let me know if you have any further questions.
