Hi! Your friends spotting may or may not be related to meth. However, if it's bad enough that she needs to inject it, she will sustain damage to her blood vessels. She could be at a high risk of embolism after injection. Embolism means particles in the injectable solution that do not dissolve and block blood supply - if to her brain - leading to paralysis - if to her heart - leading to chest pains. We know that women "spot" due to their hormones. Meth certainly affects the DA molecules in her body. I suggest that she try to kick the habit or at least stop injecting it, when she can "chase the dragon" which is much more harmless than self inflicted injections. I am trying to help. Please take this advice. Thanks. Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
