General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The sharp pain you are feeling on the center upper left back might be related to:

- esophagus/gastric problems
- lung problems
- pancreas
- heart and pericardium

I suggest to run further tests to determine the right diagnosis including
- EKG
- Cardiac echo
- Chest X-ray
- abdominal ultrasound

Hope it helped!
