Could Plantar Fasciitis Be The Cause For Pain In Feet And Shin Splints?

When I started cross country two seasons ago, I had mild pain in my feet. When I finished the season, I went on to basketball- no pain at all. Now, I am currently in track and the pain has come back. It took about a week before my feet started hurting again. I found out I have planter faccitus. Not only this, but just 2 days ago I started getting shin splints very badly for the first time in my life. I was wondering if planter faciitus can cause shin splints. And how can I effectively treat all of this pain.

Hello
I had gone through your question is Reay appreciate your concern
shin pain could be related to stress fracture, get an X ray of the leg
planter fascitis generally remain confined to foot and it can be treated very easily with anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and rest

in my opinion you should take rest for few weeks and multivitamin with calcium supplements will definitely help in healing

thanks for your question
please feel free to ask for more clarification
