Could Paracetamol And Ibuprofen Be Cause For Elevated Liver Enzymes In Blood?
Doctor i am 43 year old male. My gamma gt level is 93. My SGOT is 90 and SGPT IS 91. I dont drink alcohol or fizzy drinks. I had typhoid fever for three weeks. I was on antibiotics and paracetamol and ibuprofen. Could these medications be the cause for elevated liver enzymes in blood? How can i bring down these levels?

My dear friend as you told that you had typhoid fever.I want to tell you that in typhoid also SGOT,SGPT increases and take time to come within normal value.
Paracetamol and ibuprofen can not increases SGPT and SGOT to 91 and 90 respectively until uses in very high doses.
No need to worry and repeat SGPT,SGOT and GGT after 1 weeks after approaching your nearest Physician.
Avoid oily foods in diet which will also help you to decreases SGOT and SGPT.
