Could Pain In Eye, Headaches And Blurred Sight Be Related To Neck Sprain?

Hi,
My wife had a history of pain in and around her left eye spreading towardshead behind and behind left ear with momentry black out in her left eye for around 2 secs. It was investigated first by an eye specialist and then a neusophysician with the final diagnosis that there was some problem with the nerves of her left eye. She was given some injections and some medicines for a month, but there was no difference. So we discontinued as it was not very severe. Two weeks back, she again had same pain and after two days when she woke upin the morning, she felt as if she had some neck sprain as well. And then her pain in the head started to increase and she was not able to move her head and she had shooting pain in her headon top and also on back of head lower portion. Her head feels heavy and there is noise of opening and closing in ears with too much pain in ears. Her eyes also paining with movemement of eyeballs. Another important thing is that since last three days, objects are looking two with her eyes. She is getting temporary relief with medicine Headset twice daily. It is not getting cured. Neurophysician has asked to get MRI contrast of skull and doubting misalignment of eyes. My question is could her headache and eye pain be increased because of neck sprain and cause disturbance in eyesight rather than nerves causing the disturbance in eyesight and creating all the pain? And can it be cured by some medicine and exercises? Kindly advise.

Hello
It seems from the history that your wife is having double vision, headache, pain in the eyes...
These symptoms indicate problem in the extra ocular muscles most probably by diseases affecting the nerves supplying these muscles.
These symptoms are not related to neck sprain.
The treatment is by treatment of the underlying cause which can be found out by CT or MRI as per the advice of your doctor.
No need to worry as most of the diseases are self limiting.
Hence I advice you to take treatment as per the advice of your doctor.

Thank you
