Cannot say in your particular case. the possible causes are many and range from minor irritation and nasal drainage to asthma to serious heart trouble. A simple physical would likely be able to differentiate the possibiliities and certainly minor testing would show what is going on and how to treat it.

of course IN an asthmatic, you'd have to think an asthma condition. There can be lung damage with inhalation, but a short term irritation state that an asthma treatment such as monteleukast will remove, is quite possible.
