Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother is 76 years old and around midnight she sweats so bad she has to change her nightgown and sheet.......what could be going? She is on several medications but a new one is erthromycin for gastroparsis due to diabetes..could that be the problem?
Dear friend, there is little chance that erythromycin is causing this nightsweat.infact,as a diabetic patient she might be facing blood glucose level disturbance which can cause profuse nightsweat.also vasomotor disturbance caused by longstanding diabetes also can be behind this nightsweat.
