Could Low Grade Fever With Elevated Liver Enzymes Indicate Autoimmune Hepatitis?

For the past 2 days, I have experienced low grade fever spikes around 100.2. My checks get flushed. Checked my blood pressure and it is not bad - 122/85. I know that I have elevated liver enzymes, but waiting to see a specialists. Can these fever spikes which I also get a headache with be caused from the Liver condition which my doctor thinks is autoimmune hepatitis? or is this signifying something else? email address is YYYY@YYYY Thank You Peg

Hello,

Yes. This spectrum of symptoms can be due to hepatitis, whether autoimmune or viral.
In my practice, I would also run blood tests to check for viral hepatitis.

All the best.
