Could Knot In Head Due To Hitting Be Permanent?

My daughter fell about 5 weeks ago and hit her head (14months old). She developed a horrible knot and bruise. The bruise is still present and so is the knot even though drastically better than it was after it happened. I haven t noticed any change in weeks. I m concerned this is permanent

thank you for query.Usually the swellings due to trauma subside on its own if it is not infected. It may take weeks but they heal faster in children.if any increase in size or if any tenderness felt there then you need to consult the doctor.otherwise keep a vigil on it and wait for it to subside.
