Hi,

It might be related to fungal infection of the skin. I suggest to get the scrapping of itchy skin microscopically examined by KOH 10% to rule out fungal infection.

If confirmed, I usually prescribe to my patients to:
- wash the body with ketoconazole shampoo twice a week for 1 month
- discuss with your doctor to take oral terbinafin for around 1 month or depending on the symptoms
- apply local antifungal cream mixed with corticosteroid cream to reduce itchiness and to fight fungal infection.

Hope it was of help!
