Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain ear canal begins from the ear hole and ends at the ear drum and it can get injured if anything sharp and unwanted is put in the ear and it is not necessary that it will injure the ear drum but in case if the flower stick is placed deeper the ear drum can get perforated leading to disturbed hearing.
You should start giving him antibiotics as advised to him by the doctor as in case of ear drum injury also it will be advised and consult an Otolaryngologist and get him evaluated so that an otoscopic examination can be carried out to look for whether the ear drum is safe or injured..
In case of small perforations in ear drum antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines and decongestants can help..
In case if perforation is large surgical correction is done..
But as of now you should first of all start antibiotics and let the specialist do a checkup before one can decide the diagnosis..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
