Could Increased Vomiting And Fever In A Child Be Due To Elevated WBC?

my 2 year old baby is suffering with vomitings since 8 months, initially we ve given him sucrafil, with which, vomitings got controlled and if we give sucrafil, he ll not vomit, otherwise he ll vomit. After that, we ve undergone a scan which was found to be normal. 1 month back my baby got repeated fever due increase in wbc, and got hospitalised and treated for 3 days and he s fine now. But the vomitings problem didn t come down yet. The doctor suggested us to go for an endoscopy in which it was found that, my baby is suffering with HIATUS HERNIA . doctor said that ususally it ll settle down automatically, or we can opt for a surgery. now my doubt is 1. how much time will it take for settle down? 2. domstal or sucrafil which one is better for our baby? 3. what care we ve to take wrt diet?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare_magic
Greetings of the day

Hiatus hernia is associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux which is usually the cause of vomiting(its more of regurgitation).
In my clinical practise if the vomiting is troublesome, i would suggest operative treatment.

Take Care
