Could I Be Pregnant With The Delay In Period?

I am married and working. I am not interested in getting pregnant as of now because of my career. my period date is 1st of every month. but, it has not yet arrived till now (today is 9) i had an intercourse on last month 8th and 15th. I wanted to know is there any chance for me to get pregnant. I am sure that sperm didn't go inside though it was unprotected. I also wanted to know whether any chances are there for period to get delayed

Hi there.

Thanks for writing in.

Periods can delayed due to various reasons... pregnancy,stress, tension, unaccustomed exercise, anaemia, thyroid disorders.

Ovulation normally occurs between 12- 16 th day before next expected period. That means you did have intercourse on the fertile day , where pregnancy could be possible.

Wait for another 3-4 days and get a urine pregnancy test done.
