Could Having Low Progesterone And Prolactin Level Hinder In Conceiving?
Hi I am 35 currently trying to concieve with no luck, My doctor is refering me to a local IVF clinic. I have had some blood tests done and it has shown my oest 100 and progesterone 26 is very low, prolactin, fsh, lh and testosterone all normal. I was wondering what could cause this?
I would suggest to go for thyroid hormone analysis, USG scan, ovarian follicle study for further management. Specific treatment depend on tests result. You can use progesterone pill in second half of period. It support implantation and early pregnancy.
If period is irregular then birth control pill can be used to regularize period. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
