Could Having A Deep Vein Thrombosis Increase Risk Of Erectile Dysfunction?

Could having a DVT also cause ED? I m a 35 yr old male with now my fifth diagnosed DVT. I m currently being treated in the hospital now with DVT in both legs, pulmonary embolism in both left and right lungs and an enlarged right side of the heart. For the few days before coming into the ER I noticed an inability to maintain an erection if able to achieve one at all. Could DVT be the cause?

Hello and welcome to HCM.
Though DVT as such has not proved to be a direct cause of ED, better get your priorities right. DVT needs urgent treatment ,which, along with pulmonary embolism and enlargement of one side of the heart, compounds the problem.ED can be treated after treatment of DVT is over.
