Could Fatigue, Palpitations And Hot Flashes Be Sign Of Hypothyroidism?

I am a 50 year old, 5'8", 180 lb. female. I was diagnosed last year with high blood pressure. I am now experiencing fatigue, palpitations, sweat, hot flashes, and feel weak. My TSH is .55. I also have a multinodular goiter. Could this be hyperthyroidism?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Your fatigue, palpitation, hot flashes and weekness may be due to hypertension or hyperthyroidism.

Your TSH level is borderline. You should check your free T3 and free T4 level once. It will give you exact idea whether you have hyperthyroidism or not.

For multinodular goitre you can go for surgery according to your doctor's advice.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
