Could Extreme Pain In Toe At Night With Blood Sugar Being 5.9 Mean Having Type 2 Diabetes?
my blood sugar was 5.9 and I was warned about diabetes. I have virtually cut out all sugar/fat from my diet and have lost weight. I am now experiencing extreme pain in my toe at night which I believe is peripheral neuropathy. Does this mean my blood sugar levels have risen and I now have type 2 diabetes? thank you.
Hello, Your pain in right toe could be due to gout and hence it must be examined by checking the values of serum uric acid. There are plenty of good antigout medicines, which can be given to you for the management. Avoid alcohol, sweets and sugar and keep a prompt control of blood sugar levels. Get the blood sugar fasting,PP and HBA1c done to know the exact staus of blood sugar. Thanks
