Could Elevating TSH Levels Cause Hematoma To The Abdominal Wall?
After several years of normal levels (w/ 25mcg) my TSH level has spiked. Tested in June 2013 and it was perfect. At the beginning of the year, I started gaining weight quickly and had no energy. Blood results in April showed that my tsh was over 7 and meds were adjusted to 50 mcg. Retested after three months and my level has increased to 10. I suffered a hematoma to my abdominal wall at the end of 2013. Could that have caused the sudden changes?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have hypothyroidism and your TSH value is high. So you need to increase the dosage of thyroid supplement till your TSH level comes to normal. Consult your doctor and set the dosage accordingly.
Your abdominal wall hematoma has no relation with your thyroid level so don't worry about that. It can be due to some trauma or other cause.
