Could Early Stage Alzheimer's Disease Cause Babbling And Garbled Sounds?

My father called me yesterday and told me he went to the emergency room the former evening. He stated that he was talking with my mother and all of a sudden just stopped talking for about 8-10 seconds and after that sounded like he was babbling. He was trying to say things but they sounded all garbled. He did not realize he was speaking this way. They took him to the emergency room and did test on his brain and heart. Everything checked out fine. No sign of a stroke or anything else. Here is the x factor. He was having a migraine for the previous 3 hours before this happened. The doctor concluded after hearing this information that he just had an acute migraine. Is this possibly the answer? Can an acute migraine give someone these symptoms? This has never happened to him before. He is 70 years old and has had prostate cancer 4 years ago that is not affecting him now. Could it be alzheimer's beginning?

It is not likely to be Alzheimer's.
The most likely possibility is a minor stroke (transient ischemic attack) from which he recovered quickly.
A brief episode like this could also be related to Migraine.
Alzheimer's begins very slowly and there is plenty of evidence in the person's behavior to make a clinical diagnosis possible. If your father has not shown an overall decline in his mental functioning, especially in memory for recent events, you should not worry.
This episode should not make you worry about Alzheimer's.
Hope this answers your question.
