Could Depression Be The Side Effect Of Taking Minocycline?

My 17 year old son is taking Minocycline - 100mg for acne and has been taking it for years. He has also been suffering from mild to moderate depression for years but has recently been suffering from severe depression. Could there be a correlation between the two?
