Could Delayed Periods With HPT Negative Indicate Pregnancy?

Hello doctor, My periods are delayed by 2 weeks now. I took a home pregnancy test and blood test and its negative. My doctor asked me to take Duphaston for 5 days. But i still have a feeling that i am pregnant because such a long delay in periods never happened. Kindly help dr.

Hello and welcome to health care magic forums.
The home pregnancy detects a chemical called beta HCG whose levels are very high in the urine of pregnant women. Usually the test will be positive within 2 weeks of missing periods. However there is still a chance of pregnancy. Repeat the home pregnancy test after 3 days and if it's negative, go to a OBGYN specialist. The doctor may do an ultrasound, which can definitely show show whether the gestational sac of pregnancy is present or not.
