Could consumption of kerosene cause cirrhosis, husband's mother gave her 3 children, 2-6 years of age, a "dose" of kerosene to keep them healthy. My sister in-law died at 52, my husband recently passed at 51, and my brother-in-law has stage 1 liver cirrhosis. The doctors told us the damage happened when they were children. We are trying to figure out what caused this and my brother-in-law remembers all getting kerosene as a young children.
