Could Confused State Of Mind Be Due To Hydrocod Cough Syrup?
This morning my husband was very confused and wasn t sure where he was. He couldn t remember that our bookkeeper was in our home yesterday and kept repeating himself on what day it is. He has had the flu/cold and had been taking Hydrocod bit cough syrup. Last night was his last dose. He is a recovered alcoholic and he thinks his confusion is from the cough syrup. I think he may have had a mini stroke although he didn t have any numbness. HHe refused to go to the Dr. Thank you.
Hello Welcome to health care Magic This does not seems to be side effect of medicine. There may be some cause. That could only be diagnose after the routine checkup. I would suggest you to visit any neurologist for his opinion. You may be required for MRI head.
There are many reason which may cause such problem and this very difficult to diagnose the case on the basis of symptom.
Thanks Dr Ratnesh
