Could Carbimaxole For Thyroid And Metroprolol Cause Blocked Ears?

Hi, I have a feeling of blocked ears for about a week, which is unusual, I have been on Carbimazole 5mg reduced to half in last fortnight since a sudden overload of my thyroid last June 2013, and metoprolol 23.75mg reduced to half in last fortnight, because I suspect medications have caused blocked ears. Previously very fit and active with no illness at all. I will be seeing a GP on Monday. I am wondering if there is a connection between these meds and ear ringing/blocked feeling? Thanks Andrea.

Well Carbimaxole and Metaprolol causing Blocked ears is very unlikely . Either you might be having Wax or there might be some sinus or throat congestion .

Do some steam inhalation and salt water gargling . If it still persists consult an ENT doctor .

Continue taking Carbimaxole and Metaprolol
