Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is having pain to the right of his belly button. He thinks it might be a pulled muscle. It hurts when he presses on it or moves certain ways. There is pain when he moves quickly and in certain postitons. If he is laying still there is no pain. He feels good otherwise. No fever, no nausea, no diahrea/constipation. He first noticed this during the night when he got out of bed (about 18 hours ago). Does this sound like appendicitis?
Dear yes appendicitis may cause pain around umbilicus or referred pain may present in appendicitis. other possibilities like Constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, mesenteric artery ischemia. if you have chronic Pain please consult your doctor he will advice ultrasound abdomen and treat you accordingly. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
