Could An Abnormal Smear Test Cause A Positive Pregnancy Result?

Hi I had a smear test and got a borderline result. I just discovered I was pregnant at the time of the smear. Could this be the cause of the result? They also found traces of the HPV virus. i'm 32, 5 weeks pregnant, female, 8stone 3 and 5ft 1inch. I had an abnormal smear around 5 years ago and had the lazer treatment. All tests have been clear until now.

Hi, I think you are talking about pap smear. abnormal pap smear does not suggest pregnancy on pregnancy also not causing abnormal pap smear. if you have abnormal pap smear then go for cervical biopsy according to your doctor's advice.
