My dad is in a hospital now and I have a lot of questions that I cannot get answered because I cannot be there. He is 56, 6 2 and average weight I would say. He is a diabetic and they went to the hospital because the last 6 days straight he has had low blood sugar readings ( around the 30 s) and the nurses took blood and found that his triponin levels were .33. Now what Im trying to find out is if he had a heart attack or if one is coming. The Dr s said that it s kind of a gray area. He has had no chest pain at all but he says he just doesnt feel good and is tired all the time
Silent Heart attacks are very common in Diabetes patients. The best thing you can do now is to allow him to get evaluated completely. The cardiac changes will be evident soon. The doctors will be able to tell you if it was a heart attack or angina. Dont worry he will do well... regards Dr.Riyaz Sheriff
