Could Tranexamic Acid Tablets Be The Cause For Bruising On Knees?

I have a bruise from putting a new roof on the shed in May.... both my knees got quite badly bruised crawling around on them, most of the bruises went but one still remains (I now stay off my knees), I also have one just below the calf muscle that I got about a month later and that is still there.... both on my left leg.... I'm 47 use Tranexamic Acid tablets monthly and iron tablets daily to keep anemia at bay I just wondered if it might be the Tranexamic that may have caused the bruising to stay or if the bruising was so deep it's taking a long time for them to fade?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

I don't think that Tranexamic acid tablets can be the cause for bruising on knees. Tranexamic acid tablets doesn't cause delayed healing of a wound.
The reason might be the bruising was so deep it's taking a long time for them to fade. One reason may be that you might have a condition like diabetes which might be causing delayed healing.

You should consult a doctor for such a long time wound not healing

hoping your query is solved
