Cough With Metallic Taste In Mouth, Allergy Symptoms. Throat Irritation?

I have had a cough for about a day now along with other allergy symptoms. I regularly take a generic form of zyrtec to fight the allergy symptoms. I noticed last night, that when I coughed, I tasted a metallic taste in my mouth, almost like blood. I don t know if it is just throat irritation or if it was because I breathed in plastic smoke on accident a couple days ago.

Hi,
From history it seems that due to coughing there might be having irritation in the throat and might be having congestion.
This might be producing metallic taste.
Do salt water gargles.
ok and take care.
