Cough and stuffy nose with headaches. Why is chest painful?

I ve ad the same cough sense the end of August... What might be the problem. I m not a smoker or anything. It just started off as a normal cold ... Cough, stuffy nose , and a slight headache . After a week the stuffiness and headache went away, but I still have the cough. And sometimes I d have such a bad coughing fit that I d start to feel a pain in my chest and a slight headache. What might be the problem?

From history it seems that you might be having allergic bronchitis giving rise this problem.
Try to find out allergen producing cough.
there is another possibility of having Eosinophilic bronchitis which again gives this type of chronic cough.
Go for blood CBC with eosionophilic count.
If there is high eosinophilic count then go for Di-ethyl-carbamazine ( Hetrazan ) tablet course after consulting your doctor.
Take some cough syrup for symptomatic relief.
Do deep breathing respiratory exercise.
Avoid using duo spray, scent and other allergens.
Avoid cold drinks, fried and junk food.
Ok and take care.
