Consumption of water after delivery

Should I not drink water or drink very less water after the delivery of baby? My mom says that you should drink 2-3 glasses of water only in a day.. Is that true?

Thanks for writing in
You should be having atleast 2-3 litres of water in a day, which is 8-12 glasses of water. You have just lost a lot of blood .(during your delivery) and need adequate hydration to keep you going.
Please dont cut down on your water intake.
Hope this helps.
