Constant Sore Throat Problem, Have Acid Reflux. Husband Has Gonorrhea, Chlamydia. Can Oral Sex Cause This ?
I have been having a sore throat 15yrs now. I have been marrired for 22yrs now. Two years ago I found out my husband had not only gonorrhea but chlamydia while was over seas in another country with some random person. My doctor told me I have acid reflux but I think maybe its from his disease. I have had oral sex with him. I been tested and everything came back negative. Is there a possiblity It could of still affect my throat?
It is not possible to get acid reflux because of this. The mechanism of acid reflux is that acid from your stomach is not stopped by the lower esophageal valve and this causes the esophagus to burn and this pain is felt as acid reflux. Since this is a physical problem, there is no problem of involvement of bacteria from oral sex.
To reduce further chance of getting ill what you can do is to avoid fatty, oily foods and spicy foods. This will also prevent you from getting heart burn.
