Constant Palpitations After Pre- Exposure Of Rabies Vaccine. Suggestions?

Dear Dr. Koregol, I had a pre-exposure course of the rabies vaccine during September 2012, and during the course I had a lot of heart palpitations (along with plenty of other side effects). Now, the palpitations have become a lot less frequent and less severe, however they still occur quite often (every day or every few days). I ve had heart palpitations before the vaccine but only on the odd occasion, so I must be prone to them, but I wondered whether these constant palpitations are from the rabies vaccine and if they will slowly go away over time? Thank you so much for your time Anna

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

It appears to have no relation.... There is an old expression, “Post hoc ergo propter hoc”, meaning ‘after this, therefore because of this’ / It is natural human tendency to associate things with the immediate past - which is always not true...
     You should consult a Cardiologist...
EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
You may even need Electro Physiological Studies (EPS)
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
