General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi mike.geoghegan ,
I have read your question,
Tylenol and advil are antipyretic and anti-inflammatory respectively and they do their job well , So you need not worry about them, But Since you have cold and pain since a longtime , I think You should take an antibiotic as well for relief.
As it comes to Tooth pain , generally , it is continuous ache and a sensation like nerve pull , so It could be a toothache as well , Without examination I dont want to conclude here , Hence I suggest you to consult a physician for further guidance.
Wishing you a good health,
Dr.G.Gayatri Devi
