Cocaine Addiction, Small Bites On Neck And Arms With Dehydration Followed By Vomiting With White Maggots Like Thing And Diarrhea After Sleeping In A Filthy Place. Cause?

Hi, my son, who is 20 was incarsarated for 11 days. When he go out, he had what appeared to be small bites all over his back neck and arms. He was also very dehyrated. The jail put him in an observation room because he was detoxing from shooting up roxies and cocaine. He slept on a mat that was about 1 1/2 inches thick. He said the floor and place was extremely filthy. Two days after he got home, he was vomiting and had terrible diarrhea for 4 - 5 days. My sister who is with him at my home just called and said he had vomited and there were what appeared to look like white maggots but thinner and longer. What could this be? Please advice. J. Foulke

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. Cocaine addiction can be a serious disorder and life threatening depending on the amount of cocaine you are currently using. The small bites on the neck and arms with dehydration followed by vomiting with whites maggots like things and diarrhea after sleeping in a filthy place are all self explanatory with the usage of cocaine and having poor hygiene. You son needs to be in rehab after acute detox and you need to have him court ordered to treatment. I hope you understand the urgency of the situation, consult a psychiatrist and the local community social services, have him assessed by them and get him to go to treatment even if it is involuntary for the time being as he is a threat to himself. I believe he has a chance for recovery even now and you need to get him to go to the doctor as soon as possible.
