Clear Mucus Discharge, Bleeding After Bowel Movement, Consitpation History, Have Hemorrhoids. What Is The Reason?
Hi, Over the last 2 days I have noticed clear mucus tinged with fresh bright red blood when I wipe after a bowel movement (stool was normal when passed). I do have a history of constipation and anal fissures which have caused bleeding. I'm pretty sure I have hemorrhoids after my last pregnancy but don't give me much trouble except a slight itching sensation every now and then. I've also had mucous after wiping (normal clear amount). I've just never had mucous + blood together. I did have diarreah the nite before this started occurring. I'm a 28yo female
Hello, Actually when you have hemorrhoids you will see some strings of blood in the stools. But if you see the mucus in the toilet paper that means that the hemorrhoids are bulged out. You can consult a surgeon for this to have a rectal examination and know about the condition at present. If they are big enough and interfering with your daily activities then they may suggest for surgery.Hope this answers your query. Thank you.
