Circular Shaped Bumps On The Chest, Not Acne Prone. What Could It Be?

I have bumps on my chest . They are oval or circular in shape and I only have a few. I thought that it was a pityriasis rosea but I didn t have a herald patch and it hasn t spread rapidly. I am anxious to figure out what it is becuase it has been bugging me for the few weeks I ve had it for. My father tells me that it s just normal and it will go away on it s own, he has also told me that he has some too. My skin is fairly clear and I don t get acne except for maybe one or two pimples . I am very worried that it could be serious and could spread to my face or my arms.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Thanks for asking on HCM,
The oval/circular lesion could be seen in followings.
1 pityriasis rosea
2 tinea corporis
3 guttate psoriasis
4 discoid eczema
5 viral diseases
6 Lyme disease
7 secondary syphilis.
In your case it is most probably pityriasis rosea ,apply mild hydrocortisone cream at night and bland emollient in day and wait.
Bye
